Is there a metal or antiques oxidation solution for use at home for artisans?
I have different metals and non-precious jewelry charms I want to be oxidized so that they are darker and not shiny. Metals are brass, copper, bronze, nickel, tin, tibet silver, tin, etc. I found oxidants seem to be marketed to professional jewelers and gold and silver, and Warnings hazardous materials.
Vinegar works. Any mild acid will be the effect of metals. Depending on the length of the part is absorbed and determines which results you get. Try the metal until you get the effect you want. Remember to wash in cold water stop the process.
