I have a few questions and the film was a bit confused myself or 1. why lords pirates to free calypso? 2.Why's father was taken in the film? Is he dead? 4.What does the Chinese ppl have to do with anything? Save 5.Why they made? 6.Why shall the Black Pearl? 7.Can you explain Norrington role in the film? why is it important? 8.why not Elizabeths father die? sorry for all the questions but just answer any that you can. They chose to do so because they thought it would be the best chance they had to defeat the East India Trading Company and the Flying Dutchman. In the tradition of films, Calypso had complete reign over the sea, and was imprisoned by the pirate lords of origin so that the human race would be able to determine their own fate of the ocean.
