Why is there Hurricane warnings when there is a tropical storm?
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_at2.shtml?5day # Content, I was watching something called "Coastal Watches / Warnings and 5-Day forecast track cone" and I'm the slightest idea why there are warnings of a hurricane when it is not a hurricane. Someone please explain what is with this case.
The reason why there are warnings of a hurricane is because, according to meteorologists forecast hurricane Gustav is expected to reach Category 3 status when it hits the Gulf Coast next week. They expect the storm to intensify and they just want everyone to be prepared and be sufficiently warned in advance that you can still have time to leave and go somewhere safer.
