Natural silver jewelry cleaning at home?
All that I can use at home instead of chemicals? I also amethyst in the center of a ring and pendant to clean, is it safe if I used something and got on them? Also, how can I avoid tarnishing first? Thank you!
Go to a jewelry store and buy a silver polishing cloth. I use a constantly on my silver and it moves tarnish safely without using chemicals or something where you use a liquid to clean jewelry. This is especially safe when cleaning a piece that contains a gem or stone. If you are cleaning silver coins straight, regular white toothpaste and a little water will also work. As regards prevention will tarnish, I'm not really sure about that, but I know just leave your jewels sit in the open air can sometimes cause it, polishing regularly with a cloth and proper storage of your Jewelry should help.
