Vintage Jewelry in Toronto / GTA?
I'm looking for recommendations for stores in the Toronto area (general or downtown, or otherwise Mississauga, Etobicoke Lakeshore or) that carry or specialize in vintage, antique or replica costume jewelry. *** *** GENERIC Nothing, that is, nothing you would find in a people or a jewelry box Costo. Could be jewelry stores, or even cases in a shop clothing, whatever … ideas: extra? info I am considering buying a ring or other piece of jewelry for my sister as a gift a university degree. She is a designer if I really want to avoid anything generic and want to move to something dramatic art deco or even something sweet (like a pearl chain bracelet .. sweet as it is forgettable). I do not want to go to an "expensive" store, but I am willing to spend up to several hundreds for a piece of unique quality because it's something I want it always has.
I would go to Kensington Market to find something vintage. It's fantastic – it is full of small vintage shops and independent designers. It is located just west of downtown Toronto in Spadina-Dundas-Bathurst College.
