What can I use to clean jewelry at home?
I have a few rings I want to clean and start wearing them again. I want to clean them at home but do not really know what to use and their legacy and I do not want to distort them in any way. I have a silver medal "Spoon" ring and a couple of gold rings with small diamonds. Does anyone know a good recipe I could use to clean them? Remember, nothing abrasive. Thank you in advance for your help!
Several options: 1 – Silver-cleaning cloth available where ever the silver jewelry sold 2 – own money Commercial – Rub on, buff off. Use a toothbrush to get into crevices and detail work. DO NOT let it dry or it will be very difficult to work out the details – 3. Vacuum gem trade – small pot solution you soak the jewelry Then you can scrub with a old soft toothbrush – 4. Vinegar – good for gold jewelry with precious gems or stones. really shines stones – 5. toothpaste and brush Teeth – Soak the rings in the water for half an hour, then scrub with toothpaste – not the kind of gel. For the toothbrush, I use a toothbrush child – they are really sweet and does not scratch.
