I am looking for pearls silver and precious gemstone beads, semi, like tanzanite, tourmaline, citrine, amethyst, and in shapes such as round faceted briolettes, and cubes. I was going to India for 7 years (3 months per year). I buy sterling silver jewelry (most with stones semi-precious) and crafts. To tell you the truth I would not buy jewelry or stones, by e-mail. My friend and I hand pick each piece we buy (we spend three months every year in India). At first it was quite a chore, but now we know who the good things and people to stay away from. We usually buy jewelry and many smaller ones to get the quality and designs that we want. None of them as far as I know a lot of business over the Internet. Do a search of glasses under "jewelry of Jaipur" and you will see some companies that export rather large. You should go to India, you will never be the same. Be careful and try to buy Hindu only (the Muslims I am sorry to say are less reliable (that's all I'll say). And if someone recommends someone, ask them. "Have you actually bought from these people?"
