I have sterling silver jewelry marked with the stamp of the 0925 Italian manufacturer, but it is weakly magnetic, why?
I noticed that some chain link sterling jewelry stamped with a low magnetism when held to a powerful magnet (rather than average, but loving stronger) are attracted – why is that? is the tiny amount of non-metals in sterling silver this? is nickel or iron 0.075?
Nickel is magnetic in nature, so it would seem that you have motivated your answer. I never noticed this with my sterling jewelry, but I did not tested either. How strange … will try!
