Do you think it is appropriate to wear black to a wedding reception in the evening?
I go to a wedding reception in July and do not want to pay for a new outfit as I got a car repair to pay my kids gear kit in new school many birthdays etc. So, I intended to wear a black dress and knee length and I was sorta floating to accessorize with silver shoes / bag and glittering jewelry. However, when I told my friend, she said oh you can not wear black to a wedding, as if it was the most hateful thing in the world to do! What is your opinion about this and I'm breaking some sort of wedding etiquette by wearing black in the evening?
