How can I have a small diamond necklace added my diamond ring to my wedding present?
I have a / 4 ct 3 and I would like to add a few small diamonds surrounding ct 3 / 4 … to be honest, to make it appear longer. I already have the ring so I guess my question is, since the real diamond in my ring is already perhaps still does?
Not necessarily. It depends on how your ring is currently designed, and exactly what you want to add stones. If the head of your ring can be safely removed, and another O, well you should. A jeweler can not (okay, but can really should not) just add heads and stones to all rings willy-nilly. Not only does it look cheap and ugly, it jeapordizes the stability of the whole ring. Before you make plans, or destroy pendant perfectly good, go to your local jeweler independent. Explain what you want the finished product to look, and let them tell you if it still possible. You're looking at a nice piece of money for all that work, plus the cost of new heads or mounting plates for stones … it may be cheaper and nicer in the long runto just buy a new parameter that is made to fit your stone.
